Falcón – Executive Vice President & Operating Manager @ Univision Network.

Univision Communications Inc. announced that Alina Falcón has been promoted to Executive Vice President and Operating Manager of the Univision Network, effective immediately. Ms. Falcón will be responsible for overseeing all operations, including programming, promotions, talent relations, technical operations and news for the Univision Network. She will be based in Miami and will report to Ray Rodriguez, President and Chief Operating Officer, Univision Communications Inc. Ms. Falcón was previously the Executive Vice President and Operating Manager of the TeleFutura Network.

Televisa Challenges Univision.

Televisa has informed Univision Communications that talent under contract with the Mexican conglomerate will not be appearing on Univision Communications network,stations or events. This includes the much anticipated Premio lo Nuestro event next week.

The response is due to Televisa’s potential disagreement with the promotion of Ray Rodriguez to the new post of President & COO of Univision Communications.

Rodriguez Named President & COO @ Univision Communications Inc.

Univision Communications Inc. announced the promotion of Ray Rodriguez to President and Chief Operating Officer of the Company, effective immediately. He will continue reporting to A. Jerrold Perenchio, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Company. All of Univision’s businesses will now report to Mr. Rodriguez.
