Telemundo 60 San Antonio / KVDA announced that Jairo Lozano has been named Video Journalist for Noticias 60 Telemundo, which airs weekdays at 4:30 PM, 5 PM and 10 PM, effective immediately.

Liberman Broadcasting, the owner and operator of the Estrella TV network, announced that Mexican journalist Pedro Ferriz Hijar has joined the company as news anchor of Cierre de Edición, the network’s leading national evening newscast.

Telemundo Houston / KTMD  announced that Carlos Robles has been named Meteorologist for Telemundo Houston’s weekday newscasts, Noticiero Telemundo Houston at 4:30 PM, 5 PM and 10 PM.

The latest findings from Horowitz Research’s Multiplatform Content and Services, Wave 2 2015 survey reveal that streaming services, like Netflix and Hulu, have been catalysts for increased television viewing: A third (31%) of over-the-top (OTT) viewers report watching more TV overall compared to five years ago. The data show that streaming services may even drive viewership back to live TV. Among OTT viewers, 31% say they began watching past episodes of some shows online and then switched to viewing the current season live.

“El Hotel de los Secretos” (The Hotel of Secrets), a series that combines mystery, danger and romance with the splendor of early 20th century Mexico as backdrop, is set to premiere on January 25, 2016 on the Univision Network.
