Viewer demands for control and for new experiences are impacting every aspect of the content supply chain – from story creation through distribution — according to a new report just issued by EY. The report, Future of Television – Media & Entertainment, identifies six key trends that will drive the future of television in the years ahead. The report also explains that media and entertainment companies will need to more closely measure viewing behavior to create experiences that are interactive, mobile and tailored to viewers’ specific needs and interests.

MundoFox announced the premiere of “La Vida Sigue” (The Life We Lead), a new, captivating romantic drama that poses the question: What happens when your life goes on without you?  “La Vida Sigue” will air Monday through Friday at 8PM/7c starting Monday, December 9, on MundoFox.

mun2 will premiere the ttelenovela “La Patrona” in Spanish with English subtitles on Monday December 2 at 10pm EST/9C.

The Univision Network announced it will air its 2nd Annual “TeletónUSA,” a 28-hour telethon featuring more than 100 Hispanic superstars and television personalities uniting the community in support of children with disabilities, cancer and autism in the United States. Under the slogan “Héroes con Corazón” (Heroes with a Heart), this year’s event follows the spectacularly successful initial effort that reached nearly 14 million viewers and raised nearly double the first telethon’s goal for a total of $ 15,215,028 million dollars.  Through inspiring stories, personal testimonies, and memorable performances from top Latino talent, “TeletónUSA” will work to surpass last year’s total, if by only a dollar, and change lives. It will be broadcast on the Univision Network from December 13 at 10 p.m. ET/ 7 p.m. PT to December 15 at 2 a.m. ET/ 11 p.m. PT. The full event will also be streamed LIVE at univision.com/teletonusa

MundoFox announced that “El Capo,” the hit drama series about the adventures of drug lord Pedro Pablo Leon Jaramillo, has begun production of season three, making it the first Spanish-language series to return for a third season on U.S Spanish-language broadcast television.

Univision Communications Inc. and Toyota have announced a transmedia partnership that will include integration of Toyota vehicles into a new telenovela.

The multi-year exclusive partnership will include HSN products across all categories, launching with curated collections in the beauty, home, fashion, culinary, electronics and holiday categories.

Post-Newsweek Stations announced the appointment of Bert Medina as Vice President and General Manager of WPLG–TV, the group’s ABC affiliate in Miami.
