Mega TV to broadcast musical reality show to find newest member of XM2 group.

Spanish Broadcasting System (“SBS”) announced that Mega TV, along with Worldvibe Entertainment will broadcast in April, the new primetime musical reality show “Batalla de las Américas” to find the newest member of the popular XM2 Group. Mega TV invites talented singers from Miami, Los Angeles, New York and Puerto Rico to participate in this big battle where the winner will represent The United States and Puerto Rico in the grand finale. Open auditions in Miami start this week.

The reality show “Batalla de las Américas,” similar to America’s “Making the Band,” was created to find the new member of the XM2 Group, which already includes Ex-Menudos member Rawy Torres, Jonathan Montenegro and Sergio Blass. The show will have a total of 20 contestants from over 15 countries battling in fields such as originality, creativity, heart and talent to become the newest member of XM2.

Males between the ages of 18-30 years of age can participate. They will be asked to sing, dance and of course show their personality for the judges. Auditions will take place in Miami, New York and Los Angeles.

The auditions in Miami will take place at Dolphin Mall’s Dave & Buster’s on January 30 and January 31. Doors will open on Friday, January 30 at 9:00 A.M. The Miami judges will choose the top 50 contestants and then narrow it down to four semi-finalists, who will represent the city of Miami. The semi-finals will take place at the Dave & Buster’s in the Dolphin Mall on Sunday February 1.

New York auditions will take place at the “Latitud” nightclub on February 13 and 14 at 9 A.M., and  the semifinal will take place at the “Morocco” Nightclub on February the 15 beginning at 5 P.M.
 
Auditions in Los Angeles will take place at the Avalon Studios, located at the heart of Hollywood on February 27, 28 and March 1st, beginning at 9:00 A.M. Additionally, four contestants will be chosen to represent Los Angeles in the grand finale.
 
The grand finale of the musical competition will take place at the “La Covacha” on Thursday, March 19 starting at 8:30 P.M. The grand finale will include the four semi-finalists from Miami competing against the four semi-finalists from Los Angeles and New York. The judges will choose one winner, who will represent the United States in the musical show “Batalla de las Américas.”

In order to choose the representative from Puerto Rico, candidates should go to the SBS studios at Guaynabo on February 21 through to February 23 and take advantage of this amazing opportunity! The winner from Puerto Rico will automatically be into the big finale which will take place in the month of April at the James L Knight Center where contestants from 15 countries will be battling to win the final competition.
