Mega TV expands in Florida.

Spanish Broadcasting System (SBS) announced that Mega TV is expanding in new markets: Local HDTV, Inc’s WHDO Channel 38.2 in Orlando, Florida, and WFHD Channel 36.2 in Tampa, Florida.

“This expansion in these new markets showcases the strength of the Mega TV brand on all fronts. Mega TV continues to prove that it has the relevant, original programming that US Latinos demand,” said Cynthia Hudson, EVP/CCO of SBS and the Managing Director of Mega TV. “Our unique style and approach to Spanish-language content, renowned talent, and fresh formats are the key to our successful track record and excellent ratings on a national level.”

The affiliated stations will transmit Mega TV’s programming, including, “Papparazzi TV,” “Maria Elvira Live,” “Esta Noche Tu Night with Alexis Valdes” and “Bayly,” among others. Mega TV will launch in Orlando, Fl., on March 23, 2009, and is scheduled to begin in the other markets in the coming months.
