Spanish Broadcasting System (SBS) announced the party celebrating the national launch of MEGA TV was a huge success. Celebrating their partnership with DirecTV, which will distribute MEGA TV nationally on Channel 405. The party was held at the prestigious Standard hotel in Los Angeles on October 17, where SBS has the two hit radio stations La Raza 97.9 FM and Latino 93.9 FM.

Walking down the red carpet in their finest gala and formal wear was Lupillo Rivera, Emmanuel, Eduardo Verastegui, Carmen Jara, Maria Conchita Alonso, Carlos Gomez, Oscar Torres, Alex Menesses, Aimee Garcia, Eliezer Castro, Damian Chapa, Lorielle New, Chuck Lamb, Ed Meyer, Jamie McCall, Jesse Garcia, Emily Rios, Olja Hustric, T-RIO, Benito Martinez, Carla Jimenez, Daniel Luis Arroyo, Carlos Roberto Calderon, Matt Cedeno, Bertila Damas, Dinastia Nortena, Los Rieleros Del Norte, Eric Feliciano, Kim Hidalgo, Santiago Garcia Galvan, Karla y Michelle, La Dinastia de Tuzantla Mich, German Legarreta, Victor Herminio Lopez, Julia Vera, Chuti Tiu, Antony A, Jaclyn Friedlander, Michael Pena, Mike Delfino, Sandra Ramirez, Amajandra Delfino, Jackeline Cacho, Javier Voltaje, Oro Norteno, Antony Pena, Michael Placencia, Nadia Rowinsky, amongst others.

Headlining the event were Emanuel and Lupillo Rivera, two world renowned artists who performed their hit songs for the party’s guests under the cool, clear sky of California’s hottest city.

In addition to these stars, representatives of the world of culture, art and business were received and greeted by the SBS executives Joseph Garcia, SBS CFO, Marko Radlovic, SBS COO, Olga Luis, Mega TV’s VP of Sales, Tomas Johansen, Mega TV’s EVP/GM, and namely Cynthia Hudson-Fernández, Creative Director and Executive Vice President of SBS, who communicated the significance of this event in her opening remarks.

In doing so, we will strengthen our commitment to offering high quality, original programs that focus on the leading topics of national and international importance as they relate to the Hispanic community.”

“MEGA TV helps to fulfill DirecTV’s plan to develop ways of providing better programming to our Latin audience,” said John de Armas, Vice President of DirecTV, as he echoed the sentiments expressed by Hudson Fernandez. “Needless to say, we are extremely pleased to be signing this contract and to be welcoming SBS to the DirecTV programming family.”

Representing MEGA TV and SBS were María Elvira Salazar, host of “María Live!”, Renan Almendarez Cuello “El Cucuy” and his “Tropa Loca” from the Radio Station La Raza, Rene Solorio from Mega News, Lupita del Castillo from La Raza, J Dubbs, Nachin. El Cucuy also had the privilege of giving the toast of honor alongside the night’s MC, Mariela Encarnación, the beautiful and well-known Dominican actress.
