Mendoza Dillon To Create New Brand Identity For The Tomás Rivera Policy Institute.
May 30, 2003
Mendoza Dillon was selected by the Tomás Rivera Policy Institute (TRPI) to develop its new visual image. The Agency will be responsible for the creation of an updated image for the Institute, including a new logo and the development of a new website. Mendoza Dillon (MD) was selected due to its creative power, the enthusiasm shown for this project, and most importantly, because MD grasped the true meaning of the Institute’s mission.
As the oldest and most substantive policy research institute focusing on Latino issues, TRPI fills the void in information that exists among policy makers and political leaders regarding the complexities that characterize the U.S. Hispanic population. One of the strengths of the Institute is its survey research to gauge the attitudes held by the diverse Latino population vis-à-vis salient policy issues.
Considering that by the year 2050 one out of four Americans will be Hispanic, the importance of an adequate image for the Tomás Rivera Policy Institute becomes critical. “Our knowledge and understanding of the Hispanic Market were key facts when we presented our credentials to the Institute,” said Ingrid Otero-Smart, President and Chief Operating Officer at Mendoza Dillon. “We are very interested in creating a contemporary image for the Institute, and one that will go hand in hand with its extraordinary reputation,” concluded Mrs. Smart.
“We are pleased to have working on our behalf one of the leading agencies focusing on the Latino community,” said Andrea Gutierrez, TRPI Director of Communications. “The pairing is well suited: Mendoza Dillon shares the Institute’s mission to provide reliable insight into the Latino community and its needs.”
The Tomas Rivera Policy Institute was founded in 1985 as a non-profit organization to advance the civic, private, and professional life of the Latino community. TRPI is an affiliated research unit of the University of Southern California, School of Policy, Planning and Development and of Columbia University, Institute for Social and Economic Research and Policy. Through its affiliations, the Institute has access to a network of nationally recognized scholars who carry out an array of research projects under the direction of the Institute’s leadership, in the economic, educational, technological, political and social areas.
