Meruelo Group to acquire KDAY-FM/KDEY-FM in Los Angeles.

According to the LA Times, Meruelo Group, owners and operators of MundoFOX 22 in Los Angeles, will be acquiring radio station KDAY 93.5 FM (Redondo Beach, CA)/KDEY-FM (Ontario, CA).

The radio stations current format is Classic Hip-Hop.  Even though the company has mentioned they would keep the English format.  Industry insiders do not believe that this would be the case, since they operate a Spanish Language TV station in the Los Angeles Market.
