Metlife launches Spanish website.
March 3, 2006
MetLife, Inc. announced that it has launched its first Spanish in-language Web site in the U.S. The site provides product information, agency locations, Life Advice brochures, and career opportunities, as well as a phone number for its Spanish-speaking customer service line. In addition, the site offers information regarding MetLife Auto & Home’s products and services.
“For the past 20 years, the company has focused on multicultural marketing through advertising, consumer education programs, and event sponsorship,” stated Phil Salis, vice president, Individual Business consumer marketing. “These new additions to our Web site affirms our dedication to the Hispanic community, as well as to diversity itself.”
“As the Hispanic community’s presence on the Web grows,” added Russell Griffin, MetLife Auto & Home, assistant vice president for e-business, “so have our efforts in providing the Hispanic community with the resources to better their financial future at different life stages. The MetLife Enterprise continues to adapt to the ever-changing landscape of the Web in order to reach customers through preferred channels of communication.”
MetLife launched a Chinese-American Web site in August 2005 that provides in-language information about financial and insurance products and services.
