Meyer named SVP of Music at Univision

Univision Communications Inc. announced the appointment of Ignacio Meyer to senior vice president of Music. Building on UCI’s integrated music strategy, Meyer will focus on driving its global strategy and developing business opportunities for UCI’s portfolio and music industry partners. In this role, he will spearhead alternative strategic business efforts for the music team and artist development in the U.S. and globally. Meyer will continue to be based in Miami and report to Jorge “Pepo” Ferradas, president of Music, UCI.

With Ignacio joining our Global Music operations, we will continue to enhance our music strategy to drive innovative solutions and action-driven results as we further engage our passionate music audience worldwide,” shared Ferradas.
With more than 15 years of experience in in the media and entertainment industry, Meyer has a proven track record in starting and operating strategic growth initiatives, company turnarounds and business development. He most recently led the development and building of cross-platform content and business opportunities through unique models that focused on strategic alliances, direct-to-consumer businesses, experiential marketing and brand licensing. Meyer was also responsible for the day-to-day operation of UCI Live, the company’s live event, and experiential marketing unit as well as Consumer Products Licensing. Before UCI, Meyer served as CEO at Wireless Latin Entertainment, was managing partner at KONEXXION Enterprises, a boutique agency dedicated to bridging the gap between sports and entertainment assets and media companies. He also served as the director of Business Development at the Latin Recording Academy.
