MGS Communications Announces Reorganization.

Co-Chairman/CEO Manny Machado, announced a broad reorganization of MGS Communications (MGS), and new staff appointments. The restructuring effort follows Machado/Garcia-Serra Publicidad’s purchase of The IAC Group in October of 2004 to form MGS Communications.
The new firm introduces independent subdivisions under the MGS umbrella: Machado Garcia-Serra LLC, full-service advertising agency including strategic planning, research, media planning and buying, and creative services; Run Wild Productions, film and video broadcast production company; Postmaster, post production and animation services; DIME, direct mail, direct response, and database management services; IAC Public Relations, national and regional media relations, special event planning, community relations, and relationship marketing ; and Sample It!, on and off premise tastings, promotions and special event execution.
The reorganization of MGS Communications elevates the responsibilities of several key staff members, four of whom received promotions.
IAC Public Relations
Yvonne Lorie has been promoted to Vice President Client Services, leading the public relations division. In her new position, Ms. Lorie will be responsible for all strategic planning for public relations clients, crisis management, agency relations, division management, and business development.
Ariel Garcia-Linares has been promoted to Account Director, and will continue to lead the consumer products business, specializing in automotive and public affairs.
Machado Garcia-Serra LLC
Under the advertising division, Stephen Paez has been promoted to Associate Media Director, reporting directly to Gustavo Gatell, VP, Media Services. Mr. Paez’ new responsibilities include development of media strategies and planning for national and regional clients, specializing in non-traditional media.
The creative department has been restructured to maximize talent and efficiencies. Jose Rementeria has been promoted to Associate Creative Director, developing national and regional campaigns for consumer packaged goods, specializing in multi-tiered integrated campaigns and web development. Carlos Chacin and Shirley Attia have assumed the positions of Co-Creative Directors, to ensure delivery of engaging and results-driven creative products for MGS’ client roster.
Under MGS’ new structure, all strategic brand and product planning activities are consolidated into a Strategic Planning Division, headed by Gabriela Alcantara-Diaz, Partner/Executive Vice President.

MGS will open new headquarters in Coral Gables during the summer of 2005 with future regional offices in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.
