Miami & New York Latin Funk Music Festival.

EastonBravo Productions, a Miami/New York-based Entertainment Company, will host The Latin Funk Music Festival. Last year’s rave reviews led to overwhelming demand, and this year’s festivities promise to be even bigger with Grammy nominated headliner Yerba Buena.
The kick-off begins this week in Miami with a series of pre-show parties featuring local artists at various hot spots, including the VIP press event at I/O November 4th, culminating with the main event November 6th at Barton G (formerly Billboard Live). The month-long festival will expose audience members to Latin Funk music and rhythms ranging from traditional Cuban Son and Alternative Latin Rock to an eclectic blend of Hip Hop, Deep Funk, Jamaican Dub, and Samba from some of the country’s best.
The purpose of the event is to bring Latin Funk to the forefront of the music industry by showcasing up-and-coming artists from Miami and abroad alongside signed artists. The music and artists embody the unique crossover that takes traditional Latin rhythms like Cumbia, Merengue and Salsa, and combines them with today’s urban beats.
“The audience and musicians are not only bi-lingual and bi-cultural, but their musical tastes are more about the world around them and less about their individual heritage,” says Easton. “While our audience comprises mostly Hispanics aged 21 to 45, the music appeals to a much broader fan base….an audience that thus far has not been reached by any traditional medium,” adds Bravo.
“Second and third generation Hispanics are more educated and affluent than their first generation counterparts,” says J.P. Souto, Marketing Director for Rowland Coffee Roasters. “We have secured our place in the homes of first generation Hispanics for many years, now its time to move into the homes of their children,” adds Mr. Souto.
