Miami Spanish sports outlet sold

According to Radio Business Report, WOCN-AM in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood FL market has been sold. The station brings the ESPN Deportes network into the market, and is going to a company called Deportes Media LLC.
The buyer is headed by David Jacobs, who is using DM FL Licensee LLC as the station’s licensing entity. The Class C station he’s getting has 1 kW day and night on a non-directional antenna, and is very much a Miami-oriented station. Its primary signal gets up to Hollywood but doesn’t quite reach all the way to Fort Lauderdale. It extends south almost as far as South Miami Heights.
