Mickey – President of Movida.

Movida announced it has named veteran telecommunication executive James Mickey as President of Movida Communications, Inc.

In his new position, Mr. Mickey will be in charge of the day-to-day operations of Movida reporting to Movida’s Board of Directors.

Commenting on the appointment, Chairman of the Board, Enrique Garcia said: “Movida had a great year in 2006 and we are set for even greater success in 2007 under the leadership of Jim Mickey. We are confident that Jim will continue to fuel the impressive growth that has already been built up by the Movida brand.”

Commenting on his appointment Mr. Mickey said: “I am honored to serve as Movida’s President. Movida is a great U.S.-Hispanic and telecom industry success story, based on the great work done by Enrique Garcia and the Movida team in launching the Movida brand over the last few years. I am excited about what the future has in store for Movida serving the wireless communications needs of America’s fast-growing economic sector – the U.S.-Hispanic market.”

Mr. Mickey previously had served as Movida’s Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing. Prior to joining Movida Mr. Mickey had a distinguished career at Sprint where he served as National Vice President, Retail Sales and Operations and Region Vice President for the Southwest and Southeast. He also served as Area Vice President – Western US at AT&T’s Southwestern Bell Telephone Company unit.
