Miguel Sanchez passes.
February 22, 2013
It is with great regret that we announce the sudden passing of Miguel Sanchez, most recently of the West Coast office of Televisa Publishing & Digital, on March 18, 2013.
Miguel was the founder of Hispanic Multi-Media Print & Marketing (Hispanic MPM), an advertising representative and consultant firm for niche media vehicles targeting the US Hispanic and Latin America markets. Hispanic MPM started operations in 2003 in Orange County, CA with a strong selection of Spanish-language print vehicles, including Newsweek, Motor Trend, and Vogue, with a combined circulation of over 4.3 million and over 12 million total readers. The firm also added other types of media to its repertoire, including Hispanics Today, a business weekly TV Show reaching over 20 million households, and ADS, a company specializing in direct response and
front door marketing in the US, Canada and Puerto Rico.
Miguel began his print advertising career in 1987 with La Opinión Newspaper in Los Angeles. Since then, he led several sales teams in the newspaper industry in Los Angeles. In 1992, he founded Excelsior Spanish Newspaper in Orange County, CA. Excelsior is still being published by the Orange County Register and is a business model in the Spanish-language newspapers arena. In 1996 he became involved with national and international publications distributed in the US Hispanic market and across Latin America when he joined Editorial Televisa as the West Coast Sales Manager. He created and developed programs for manufacturers in the US with distribution in Latin America that increased revenue and brand awareness. He also had a long and lasting relationship with the most important Hispanic advertising agencies and direct clients nationwide.
Miguel received a Marketing degree with a minor in management from the University of Oklahoma and completed courses on sales, team building, and leadership at Pepperdine University. He lived with his wife and their three children in Southern California.
Miguel will long be remembered as a pillar of the US Hispanic market. Those who wish to share remembrances or photos may do so via the following site:
