Miss Universe 2010 breaks records on Telemundo.com

Telemundo announced that coverage of the 2010 Miss Universe Pageant resulted in a record-breaking performance for Telemundo.com. Since the launch of the Miss Universe microsite, and compared to the same time period last year, video-streaming jumped an astounding +7,548%, domestic page views grew +33%, and visitors increased +12%.
“Telemundo’s 360 approach to programming continues to drive incredible results,”said Peter Blacker, Executive Vice President, Digital Media and Emerging Businesses, Telemundo. “Our success is no longer measured by just TV viewing but by the total engagement of the audience across all screens.”
Telemundo.com exclusively streamed the newly crowned Miss Universe’s first interview, in addition to providing users with a full series of one on one interviews with many of the top finalists. 846,000 total videos were streamed on the day of the show.
User engagement surged to all time highs with audience members consuming exclusive content produced by Telemundo and voting for their favorite candidates through several Social Media features.
The site also experienced its best-ever pre-broadcast performance, as 1.5 million videos of contestant interviews and Latina profiles were streamed prior to the show.
