Morales named VP Local Marketing Strategy at Univision

José Morales has been named vice president, Local Marketing Strategy at Univision Communications Inc. (UCI), effective immediately. Morales will be based in New York and will report to Jessica Rodriguez, executive vice president and chief marketing officer. In this role, Morales will be responsible for ensuring consistency of brand, strategic messaging, as well as promotional and marketing strategy across UCI’s local media stations. Morales has over 25 years of experience in media, winning multiple Emmy awards for his newscasts and productions. Throughout his career, he has overseen news, creative services and marketing departments as well as digital platforms for NBC Universal/Telemundo, Univision Puerto Rico and Univision New York. Most recently Morales was vice president, Content and news director for Telemundo 47 in New York; before that he was director of Digital Content for Telemundo Local Media and director of News Operations for both the NBC and the Telemundo television stations divisions. Between 2000 and 2005, he worked for Univision Puerto Rico as news director.
