MTV Latin America Will Webcast Awards.

MTV Latin America announced that it will webcast its fourth annual MTV Video Music Awards Latin America live from Xcaret’s Great Tlachco Theater in the Mexican Caribbean on October 20th. MTV viewers across Latin America will be able to access the webcast by visiting MTVla.com and MTVRevolution.com.

MTVRevolution.com will also feature a special VMALA section, which will include footage around the event, such as exclusive interviews, parties, special performances and arrivals to the red carpet. The show will also be seen on T1MSN, one of Mexico’s most important Internet portals, reaching over 15 million unique users.

MTV has also created VMALA-related mobile content exclusively for Motorola, which includes mpegs, screensaver and wallpapers of nominees like Morbo, La Etnia, and Pornois, along with additional content pieces available for download the second week of October via www.hellomoto.com and www.mtvla.com. This content will also be available through www.movidamovil.com on a date yet to be announced.

In addition, MTV has partnered with EXAFM, one of Mexico’s most important radio stations, which will broadcast the VMALAs 2005 live to over 50 affiliate stations in Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica and El Salvador.

The MTV VMALAs 2005 will be hosted by Mexican rock band Molotov and it will showcase performances by: Foo Fighters, Shakira, Ricky Martin, Juanes, Simple Plan, Good Charlotte, Sean Paul, My Chemical Romance, Belinda, Reik, Babasónicos, and Miranda!
