MTV Networks Expands In Colombia & Venezuela.

As part of MTV Networks Latin America’s strategy to serve its clients and audience, the company announced that it has retained local representation in Colombia and Venezuela to support MTV and Nickelodeon’s ad sales efforts in these countries. The agencies include J&M Comunicaciones, Ltda. in Colombia and Regional Network, C.A. in Venezuela.

“In response to the many requests from the advertising community in both these countries, selecting these two agents was a logical next step to further building MTV Networks Latin America’s Ad Sales business in these territories,” said Melisa Quiñoy, Senior Vice President, International Marketing Partnerships, MTV Networks Latin America. “Under this new structure, we will be able to bring the MTVN brands (MTV & Nickelodeon), closer to advertisers and localize sales efforts.”

Colombia and Venezuela’s established advertising markets, improving economies and growing interest in alternative media options were key factors in the networks’ decision to expand into these markets. This move will also be supported with local programming and events.
