mun2 partners on ‘XTREME: On the Verge’.

mun2 has partnered with top-selling Latin R&B duo XTREME for an all-new, original reality series, “XTREME: On the Verge.” The multi-platform property, which kicked off production this month, premieres May 7th at 7pmPT/ET on mun2.

“XTREME: On the Verge” follows the day-to-day lives of the multi-talented duo Danny D and Steve Styles as they navigate the action-packed road to success in the music industry while juggling their real lives in New York. Each episode takes viewers into the Xtreme lifestyle, as they handle business, rush from planes to hotels to interviews, record in-studio sessions, perform for thousands and are mobbed by fans. The seven-episode series, which is being produced by Diamante Pictures, highlights the two very different lives of Danny D and Steve Styles, who despite their growing fame, are surrounded by stress, drama and comedy.

“‘XTREME: On The Verge’ is a show that stays true to the mun2 brand by showcasing the uniquely American experience of bicultural Latinos in the US today,” says Flavio Morales, VP Programming for mun2. “We’re excited to bring our viewers a true Bronx story with a universal appeal.”

The Bronx-based and raised artists, who are stirring up buzz in the Latin music industry, have achieved platinum album sales for “Haciendo Historia,” received a 2009 Premio Lo Nuestro award nomination for Best Tropical Group of the Year, and are current finalists for the 2009 Billboard Latin Music Awards for Hot Latin Song of the Year (No Me Digas Que No) and Tropical Album of the Year Duo or Group (Chapter Dos).

“We’re excited to show viewers and our fans our day-to-day lives,” says Danny D. “Even though we’re blessed to have our singing careers going strong, we also have our moments of struggle like anyone else.”

“Being a young Latino in the entertainment business is great but not always easy,” says Steve Styles. “We want to show the public what it’s like to have one foot in the spotlight and the other in our hometown of the Bronx.”
