mun2 & Telemundo Las Vegas host 6th Annual Descarga 2012 in Las Vegas.

mun2, Telemundo Las Vegas KBLR, and Fremont Street Experience to bring its sixth annual Descarga summer concert series to Las Vegas. Building on the success of Descarga’s Universal Studios Citywalk series, “Descarga 2012 in Las Vegas” will bring two Latin music concerts starting July 14th with a live performance by Latin superstar Beto Cuevas. On Saturday July 28th the summer concert lineup welcomes Larry Hernandez, star of mun2’s upcoming reality series “Larrymania.”

The series will be hosted by mun2 on-air talent Yarel Ramos (Reventon with Yarel) and Guadalupe Venegas (18 & Over). Shows start at 8pm and will feature the below performances:

Saturday July 14:

· Beto Cuevas – Former lead singer of the hit Chilean rock band “La Ley” with whom he recorded 10 albums and sold millions of copies worldwide, and earned several award nominations including a Grammy, Latin Grammy, and MTV award. He recently released his solo album “Transformacion.”

· Jotdog – Mexican pop band formed in Mexico City consisting of Maria Barracuda and Jorge “La Chiquis” Amaro. Their recognizable sounds of melodic instrumentals and electronic influences have received them nominations for the MTV Video Music Awards Latin-American and the Latin Grammy Awards.

Saturday July 28:

· Larry Hernandez – One of the most recognized faces in Regional Mexican music who has raised the ranks by singing some of the genres traditional music while injecting his own edgy lyrically rich style. Hernandez has earned a substantial following both in the digital world as much as on stage.

· El Pelon del Mikrofono – Mexican artist known for his unique contribution to the music genre known as Movimiento Tribal and recently released “La Cumbia Tribalera.”

Both concerts will take place on the 3rd Street Stage under Fremont Street Experience’s Viva Vision.

mun2 will be shooting an episode of its new reality series “Larrymania” on location. The series, which premieres fall 2012, offers Hernandez’s fans a never-before-seen look at the Mexican regional artist’s fast-paced life, following the star as he tackles his demanding life on tour, while balancing his role as a father, a son and his camera-ready celebrity lifestyle. The network will also be shooting on location an episode of its music countdown show “18 & Over.”
