mun2 television was honored with an Emmy award by the Suncoast Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. The recognition took place this past Saturday at the Eden Roc Resort and Spa.
The Emmy Award was presented under the category of Art Direction for the program titled “The Report”, a news alternative show that delivers a daily 15-minute update on various topics of importance to a young, Latino audience such as entertainment, politics, sports and current events.
“We are extremely proud to receive this award, and congratulate our team of producers and directors for their excellent work,” said Yolanda Foster, Vice President of Programming at mun2. “This recognition is another example of our ongoing commitment to provide young Latinos with a real alternative.”
Alvaro Krupkin, Director of Creative Services for mun2 was responsible for the art direction of “The Report,” and gave the show’s graphic elements (opening, headlines, bumpers, transitions, etc…) a consistently modern and dynamic look. In addition, the program’s interactivity is emphasized graphically using a banner display of viewer opinions sent via live text messages.
Due to its success, “The Report”, originally scheduled from Monday through Thursday at 11pm/10c, will expand to a Monday through Friday format beginning January on mun2 television.
