mun2 television’s ‘La Conexion’ Nominated For Shine Awards.

mun2 television has been nominated for a 2004 Media Project SHINE (Sexual Health in Entertainment) Award with “La Conexión,” a show produced by Perfect Image Film and Video Production. The Media Project will host the 20th annual SHINE Awards ceremony on Saturday, October 16th, at the House of Blues in Hollywood.

The Media Project, which is a part of Advocates for Youth, offers entertainment professionals information, research assistance and script consultation on today’s sexual and reproductive health issues. The SHINE Awards honor nationally and internationally televised films and episodic programs for accurate and honest portrayals of adolescent sexual health issues.

“We are so honored with our nomination for Media Project SHINE Awards, which reflects our high corporate responsibility standards,” said Yolanda Foster, Vice President of Programming at mun2 television. “Our highly popular show titled ‘La Conexión’ has captured this coveted nomination because it depicts healthy sexual behavior while offering plenty of entertainment value.”

“One of our goals at Perfect Image is to target the urban youth, always providing appropriate information. Once again, we are very proud to be nominated for the SHINE Awards,” said Anthony Perez, Founder and CEO of Perfect Image.

“La Conexión” is a talk/variety show that airs every Monday at 5:30 p.m. and features a broad variety of topics relevant to urban living –including extreme sports, fashion, art, people, lifestyles, cars, technology, and places– with a West Coast twist. “La Conexión” is among the five Spanish-language and Latino-themed nominations for this year’s SHINE awards in the talk/variety show category.
