mun2 television’s ‘MOCHILEANDO’.

“Mochileando”, a word that derives from the word “mochila” meaning backpack, is the title of mun2 television’s new travel show that will invite young viewers to travel around the world in a fun yet practical way. Starting November 23rd “Mochileando” will air every Saturday at 6:30p.m. et/pt.

“The main objective of the program is to show our audience all the resources that are available to them to travel without spending a lot of money, such as student discounts, bed & breakfasts, and the Internet,” said Yolanda Foster, vice-president of programming at mun2 television. “Viewers are encouraged to pick up their ‘mochila’ and take it on the road.”

Every week, a young group of friends consisting of individuals from different nationalities take turns in hosting the show to invite viewers in a voyage like no other, visiting unusual places, cities and countries, not commonly visited by the average tourist. Some of the recurring hosts include Catalina Roca a Graphic design student, from Colombia; Benito Portes a Pilot and a TV production Student from Mexico, and Brooklyn-born Martin Hernandez, a Harley motorcycle aficionado who grew up in Puerto Rico.

These hosts give viewers a better understanding of the different cultures, people and places they visit, and in addition, they outline the expenses incurred to provide tips so that viewers can learn to utilize their resources to the max. Thus, money does not become an obstacle in this unforgettable adventure.

The first episode of “Mochileando” takes viewers to Spain to visit fairs, museums, clubs, bars and parks in Barcelona. Future episodes will journey to Jamaica, Mexico, Costa Rica, Japan, Italy and various parts of the U.S.

“Mochileando” is produced by Silent Tree Productions exclusively for mun2 television.
