MundoFox premiers ‘El Mariachi’

MundoFox announced the premiere of ‘El Mariachi,’ the original television series about a young musician, who after being unjustly imprisoned, escapes to seek revenge, regain his honor and win back the woman he loves. Premiering July 22nd, the series will air exclusively on MundoFox Monday through Friday at 9PM/8c.
 
‘El Mariachi,’ revolves around Martín Aguirre, a young musician who is inadvertently thrown into a bloody war between two rival cartels. To save his own life, he is forced to impersonate an assassin in order to infiltrate the ranks of one of the cartels. In the midst of this chaos, he meets the love of his life, Celeste Sandoval, the beautiful young niece of one of the cartel’s leaders.
 
Iván Arana stars as Martín alongside Martha Higareda (Cásese Quien Pueda, Niñas Mal, Fuera del Cielo)as Celeste in a romance that transcends the ruthless world of drug trafficking. Arana and Higareda are joined by Julio Bracho (Por Ella Soy Eva, Mujeres Asesinas, Bajo la Misma Piel, Mi Pequeña Traviesa) as Fernando Sandoval, Celeste’s uncle, a respected bar owner with a Jekyll and Hyde personality, and Patricia Rozitchner (El Señor de los Cielos, Capadocia, Infames), as Celeste’s mother, Clemencia.  
 
Coproduced by Teleset Colombia and Sony Pictures Television, ‘El Mariachi’ is set and filmed on location in Mexico. With drama, romance and action packed into every episode, audiences will be captivated by the exciting plot twists and storylines throughout the series.
