The Museum Of TV & Radio To Salute “Sabado Gigante’.

The Museum of Television & Radio will present a special evening honoring Hispanic television at the twentieth annual William S. Paley Television Festival (February 26 to March 12, 2003) at the Directors Guild of America in Los Angeles. The Museum will salute Sábado Gigante on Wednesday, March 5, 2003, at 7:00 PM Pacific time.

Celebrating twenty years of saluting television’s rich and diverse programming, the Festival honors programs – chosen for their artistic merit, cultural impact, or historical significance – or individuals whose work has had a major impact on television. Audiences will view episodes or highlights of the show and then have the opportunity to ask questions of the cast and creative teams involved in the show’s production.

Sábado Gigante is a Saturday night ritual for millions of Hispanic families, this long-running variety show extravaganza celebrates Hispanic culture and language with three incredible hours of fun, music, games, contests, celebrity guests, and audience participation – all held together by indefatigable host Don Francisco.
