NAHP José Martí Publishing Awards judges.

The final judging for the National Association of Hispanic Publications’ José Martí Publishing Awards took place in New York this week. A distinguished panel of judges met to determine this year’s winners among approximately 700 entries in the categories of Overall Excellence, Written Word, Best Design, among others. The winners will be announced at the NAHP’s 25th Anniversary Conference in Phoenix, AZ, April 11-14, 2007.

The judges appearing in the photo are (left to right): Back row – Michael Gomez, senior vice president of customer marketing for MasterCard; Hugo Balta, news director for Telemundo 47; Nancy Ayala, editor of Marketing y Medios; Christopher Campos, executive vice president of GlobalHue, and Neil Porter, associate publisher of Médico de Familia. In the front row are: Carolina Gonzalez, teacher at John Jay College, and Jorge Bayamon, assistant editor of Hora Hispana.
