NAHP signs with Association Management Group.

The National Association of Hispanic Publications Inc., (NAHP, Inc.) announced the selection of Association Management Group as the trusted firm to take over the daily management of their organization. NAHP, Inc. will transition management effective immediately with a contract start date of July 2007. Moving from a stand-alone association to an association management company model enables NAHP, Inc. to turn over day-to-day operational activities to AMG association experts, allowing the volunteer leadership to focus on the important issues of members and the growth of the association.

“The partnership with NAHP, Inc. is a perfect fit for our company, and we can provide great value to their organization,” says J. Bruce Wardle, CAE, president and CEO of Association Management Group. “NAHP is poised to climb to new levels of success with their conferences, membership and education, and AMG has the tools, resources, the demonstrated Hispanic expertise to help the organization achieve great heights. We look forward to developing this partnership and bringing the infrastructure and efficiencies to the association that the leadership desires.”

The relationship between AMG and NAHP, Inc. began in April when AMG’s meetings division, Meetings Management Group (MMG), successfully planned and managed the organization’s 22nd annual convention in Phoenix. After building a relationship with AMG, NAHP, Inc board members voted to contract with AMG to provide the strategic guidance, operational foundation and association best practices that are necessary for the association to continue to grow successfully and improve the delivery of services to members.

The NAHP, Inc. has more than 200 member publications serving the nearly 43 million Hispanic consumers in the United States. While the U.S. Hispanic market has grown in numbers as well as diversity and complexity, the print industry serving this audience has evolved and expanded to keep pace with the needs of Latinos today.

“Hispanic publications play a vital role in the life of Latino communities, and our association brings the ideas and opportunities for Hispanic publications to increase their visibility, reach, and quality of work,” says Clara Padilla-Andrews, president of the Board of Directors of NAHP, Inc. and publisher of El Hispanic News in Portland, Oregon. “While other print publications in the U.S. are struggling to survive, Hispanic publications are flourishing, and we are pleased that AMG will provide the strong organizational management we need as the foundation to help us reach our full potential. We have ambitious growth plans and we know AMG is just the firm to help us accomplish our goals and facilitate our expansion.”
