Castells & Asociados Advertising adds Marielise Nascimento to their substantial media department. Marielise brings 17 years of U.S. and Latin American industry experience providing strategic, result-based media plans for automotive dealers, cable TV networks, fast food restaurants and numerous retail and branding accounts.
Marielise’s responsibilities as associate media director will include assisting Raquel Tomasino, executive vice president, director of media services, in the management of the department, which consists of twelve marketing and advertising professionals. She will manage the development of the media plans for all of the McDonald’s markets and co-ops that Castells & Asociados serves, as well as supervise the buy schedules and promotional extensions and topspins. Marielise will also play a critical role in new business development and cultivating strategic partner relations.
To support Marielise and the agency’s continued growth, Castells & Asociados has additionally hired Karla Larios, a six-year media buyer negotiator formerly from Initiative Media, to handle print planning and buying for the department. Also newly hired is Marsha Torres to assist and support the department.

Prior to joining Castells & Asociados, Marielise served as media supervisor at Los Angeles’ Enlace Communications where she worked with accounts such as Bally’s Las Vegas, Domino’s Pizza, Jack in the Box, Macy’s, Sprint PCS and U.S. Bank. Before this position, the tri-lingual (English, Portuguese and Spanish) Marielise was advertising manager for Pacific Factory Entertainment and led several of Brazil’s top advertising and marketing firms in senior media planning positions, starting as a media manager and working her way to media director.
