National PR Day Parade Domino Tournament.

Dominoes will take center stage in the Big Apple, when over 250 of the best players will meet at the Latin Quarter to celebrate their heritage via the Puerto Rican Day Parade and their passion for the game of Dominoes. Players from as far away as Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Jamaica and Colombia will travel to New York to compete with players from the U.S. during the National Puerto Rican Day Parade weekend to determine who is “El # Uno”.

The 2nd Annual Puerto Rican Day Parade Domino Tournament, Sun June 9, 12-7pm at LQ, is part of Series of events that will be hosted in the New York area by vivadomino.com, a site published by R. Paniagua Inc., a company based in New York that has focused on multi-cultural programming for the past 25 years.

The format of the Tournament will be Double Six with no elimination. Instead each two-man team play Five 200 point games with a 40 minute time limit per game. And then the top teams will vie in the sixth game for the Title.

This will culminate with a Multi-City event that concludes in Las Vegas in the Fall of 2007.

Dominoes is a favorite past time in the Caribbean, including both Spanish and English speaking cultures as well as Mexico, Central and South America and parts of Europe.

In some countries after baseball or soccer, Dominoes is the most important sport. Now vivadomino.com brings this ancient sport to the next level by taking it out of the grim, dark clubhouses and taking it up to it’s rightful place by presenting this event at one of New York’s hottest Latin clubs, with beautiful hostesses, Great Caribbean open buffet and open bar for participants.

Champion players from several countries will attend as well as Sports and Entertainment personalities.
