NBA en Español Offers Interactive Basketball Activities @ Calle Ocho.

The NBA en Español participated in the annual Festival de la Calle Ocho. Basketball fans in Miami had the opportunity to compete in a variety of free and interactive activities for players of all ages. The NBA en Español’s booth will be located on 8th Street and SW 6th Avenue.

The league’s exhibition area featured a 30’ x 50’ replica of a professional basketball court where aficionados can participate in a One x One challenge, a shoot-out between two contestants in a timeframe of 45 seconds. Winners are eligible to win official NBA gear such as t-shirts and backpacks.

Personalities from the Miami Heat including the dancers, Burnie the Mascot and the Xtreme Team also were onsite to greet fans and sign autographs.

“We’re very excited about our second annual participation in the Festival de la Calle Ocho,” said Arturo Núñez, Vice President and Managing Director of Latin America and U.S. Hispanic. “This is one of the ways we demonstrate our commitment and dedication to providing our Latino fans with all the excitement of the sport in their neighborhoods and in their language.”
