NBC’s ‘Factor Miedo’ To Premier On Telemundo.
February 5, 2003
“Fear Factor,” the reality series that pits real people against each other as they face extreme challenges in the hope of taking home a cash prize of $50,000 at the end of each one-hour episode will now be available to US Hispanics in their own language. “Factor Miedo” will premiere on Telemundo, Sunday, March 9, at 8PM ET/PT in Spanish.
In each pulse-racing show, six contestants recruited from across the country must decide if they have the determination and ability to face and overcome their most primal fears. Under the supervision of professional Hollywood stunt coordinators, contestants are confronted with a series of challenging stunts and disgusting eating races. If they complete the task, they advance; if fear stops them from completing a stunt or they fail the mission, they are immediately eliminated.
The show is hosted by Joe Rogan, who is best known to television viewers from his work in the starring role of Joe Garelli, the resident electrician at the WNYX radio station on the comedy series “NewsRadio,” which was telecast on NBC from 1995-99.
