NHCC Confers On Marketing & Recruiting In The Hispanic Community.

The National Hispanic Corporate Council, celebrating twenty years of service to corporate America, will hold its member meeting entitled, “Reaching the Hispanic Community through Marketing and Recruiting,” March 29-31, 2005 in New Orleans, LA.

Presentations by domain experts will cover the changing Hispanic demographics and their impact on corporate strategies in marketing and recruiting. The conference will be held at the JW Marriott. Major conference sponsors are ConAgra Foods, Inc. and Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.

Among the key speakers will be Linda Workman, Vice President, and Workforce Effectiveness for ConAgra Foods, Inc. Workman will share ConAgra’s philosophy of reaching their market through partnerships with their employees and the communities they serve. Esther Silver-Parker, Vice President Diversity Relations for Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. will address the importance of recruiting Hispanics to corporate positions and creating an environment for development and advancement. Aida Levitan, PhD, APR will present demographics and segmentation information on the community. A panel comprised of Aida Levitan, Gene Bryan, CEO, HispanicAd.com and Ray Celaya, Assistant Vice President, Allstate Insurance Company will debate the pros and cons of “folding” the Hispanic marketing function into the general marketing group. David Gomez, President and CEO of Gomez & Associates, will address the group on the topic of recruiting Hispanics to executive positions. Francisca Martinez, Sr.
Director Talent & Organizational Development for the Ritz Carlton Corporation will focus on retention by building a strong mentoring and executive leadership program. Robert Bard, publisher of Latina Style Magazine, will share the criteria and methodology used by his publication in selecting the “50 Best Companies for Latinas to Work for in The U. S.”
