Nickelodeon, Viacom Consumer Products & Ripley Joins Forces In LatAM.

Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products Latin America, and Ripley, one of the largest department stores in Chile, announced an exclusive retail partnership that will bring some of Nickelodeon’s most popular properties to Ripley’s across multiple categories with special marketing and promotional tie-ins. The announcement was made today by Manuel Torres, Vice President of Consumer Products for Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products Latin America, and Adrian Jofre, Commercial Director for Ripley.

The agreement, which includes designated Nickelodeon points of sale at Ripley department stores throughout Chile, will be supported by Ripley through various promotional campaigns, online elements and Ripley catalogues, featuring Nickelodeon properties and characters including SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer and Rocket Power, to name a few. Set to launch this July, the partnership will start with nine department stores in its first phase.

“This Direct to Retail agreement is a significant step forward in our consumer products strategy to leverage the enormous popularity that Nickelodeon characters have with kids and families in Chile and to partner with a premier market leader like Ripley will bring our business to a new level,” said Torres. “Nickelodeon and its characters have a unique relationship with their audience and this alliance will allow our products to be at the reach of children in Chile in a way never before seen.”
