Univision announced the nominees for the 21st edition of Premios Juventud, with music stars Carín León, Maluma, and Peso Pluma leading with seven nominations each. Returning to heat up the summer in Puerto Rico, the season’s hottest party celebrates the bold and entrepreneurial spirit of youth under the theme “Atrévete a Más.” The event will broadcast live from the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot on Thursday, July 25, hosted by the dynamic trio of multitalented content creator and social media sensation Lele Pons, Clarissa Molina from El Gordo y La Flaca, and reggaeton icon Wisin. The excitement begins at 7 p.m. ET/6 p.m. CT — don’t miss a beat!

In addition to the leading nominees, Colombian powerhouses Karol G and Shakira each boast six nominations, while Becky G and Grupo Frontera follow closely with five nods apiece. Joining them, Bad Bunny, Bizarrap, Farruko, Feid, Fuerza Regida, Manuel Turizo, and Ozuna are all vying for four awards each. Fans have until Monday, July 8, at midnight PST to cast their votes for their favorite artists.

Premios Juventud serves as a platform that recognizes artists and the youth for their extraordinary accomplishments in society, celebrating music, new artists, community and creators. This year, the award show will give prominence to “creators,” those figures who lead on social media, by introducing new award categories to spotlight those who are making significant waves in la cultura. A panel of beloved TV personalities and experts in the creator space, comprising Migbelis Castellanos, Jessica Rodríguez, Angélica Torres, Catherine Gallego, Hector Benavides, and Oriana González, was enlisted to nominate individuals for each category.

The creator categories will be Creator of the Year, recognizing cultural influencers; Creator that Inspires Me, celebrating inspirational content creators; Creator with a Social Cause, honoring creators who shed light on pressing societal issues; and Best LOL, highlighting creators who bring laughter and joy. Spanish language content creators have been selected based on their reach, audience engagement, and impact in the U.S.

With its special categories and recognitions, Premios Juventud continues to acknowledge the passion and diverse interests of youth. True to its tradition, the award show will honor “Agents of Change,” recognizing young entrepreneurs and major stars who selflessly contribute to creating a better world, as in previous editions.
