With less than one year to go before the tournament, official North American whisky supporter of the FIFA World Cup 2026™ Buchanan’s Blended Scotch Whisky has teamed up with legendary fútbol commentator, Andrés Cantor, inviting fans to celebrate fútbol culture with the launch of the Buchamión—a music-fueled mobile celebration powered by rhythm, pride, and community – disrupting the streets with a custom chant, and transforming city blocks into vibrant celebrations that are unapologetically Latino and unmistakably Buchanan’s.
Inspired by the iconic pregoneros of Latin America— trucks run by local vendors, known for blasting announcements and advertisements across local neighborhoods—the Buchamión features sixteen speakers atop a 27-foot truck decorated with vibrant, fútbol-inspired artwork designed by Kids of Immigrants that brings the sound and energy of Latino celebration to fans across the city.
At the center of the experience is a custom-recorded chant created in partnership with United Masters and recorded by The legendary voice behind “¡GOOOOOOOOL!” — fútbol commentator, Andrés Cantor—whose unmistakable voice, set against the beat of Latin music, brings to life a chant that has echoed across Latin America for decades whenever a team qualifies for the FIFA World Cup™ – “Nos Vamos Al Mundial” (we’re going to the World Cup!). Remixed with Buchanan’s flavor and blasted from the Buchamión and across digital feeds, Buchanan’s will announce the brand’s very own FIFA World Cup 2026™ debut by blasting “¡Nos Vamos al Mundial de la FIFA 2026™!” from New York City to Mexico City and beyond.

On Sunday, July 13, marking less than a year until FIFA World Cup 2026™, the Buchamión traveled across Manhattan, Queens and Brooklyn popping up at community hotspots including Flushing Meadows Park, El Basurero and BK Backyard Bar, rallying fans with surprise and delight experiences where the unmistakable roar of el ritmo Latino met true, fútbol passion. Stops throughout the day featured free merch, music, surprise appearances from Andrés Cantor and unforgettable moments where twelve lucky fans won tickets to the FIFA World Cup 2026™ by competing to see who can hold their “goooooool” the longest.
The event culminated with a high-energy party and surprise performance by Colombia’s own, DJ Pope, transforming the Buchamión into a mobile stage and uniting fans in a vibrant celebration of fútbol, music, cocktails and culture.
