WSCV Telemundo 51 in Miami began a news alliance that will offer the audience of its 5am newscast Noticiero 51 Primera Edición and of its 6AM news and information program Buenos Días Miami the ability to listen to this programming block on Actualidad Radio.
“At Telemundo 51 we are always looking for opportunities to better reach our audience with the latest news and the most updated weather and traffic reports, and we understand that first thing in the morning everyone wants to know how to best prepare for the day as they are heading to work, so this morning collaboration with Actualidad Radio 1020AM and 1040AM is ideal to give our audience what they expect from us”, said Manuel Martínez, President and General Manager of Telemundo 51.
Noticiero 51 Primera Edición and Buenos Días Miami air Monday through Friday from 5am to 6am and from 6am to 7am respectively, the first one anchored by Carinés Moncada accompanied by meteorologist Denise Isaac in charge of weather and traffic, followed by Daisy Ballmajó and Abel Hernández as hosts of Buenos Días Miami.
“Today at 5am we began simulcasting the two hour block of news and information through Actualidad Radio, consolidating an information alliance that we hope will please and benefit our audience”, said Helga Silva, Vice-president of News and Content of Telemundo 51. “We are very grateful to the management of Actualidad Radio for the enthusiasm and professionalism they demonstrated in the development of this unique alliance and we hope to continue collaborating with them in other projects in the future”, added Silva.
Adib Eden, President of Actualidad Radio said: “The prestige and experience of Telemundo 51, combined with the reach and growth of Actualidad Radio through its two signals, make of this alliance the best option for Hispanics in the region.” Nelson Rubio, Programming Director for Actualidad Radio, also expressed great satisfaction in working with “such experienced professionals” to reinforce the programming in Actualidad Radio as “an option of excellence in the market.”
