NSHMBA San Francisco Update.

NSHMBA Elections are in progress from now until August 31 for National Regional and local positions. We currently have the following NSHMBA San Francisco candidates running for election:

**NSHMBA San Jose Chapter in Formation
We are pleased to announce that our bid for San Jose’s Chapter in Formation (CIF) status is moving forward! Nick Guerrero, CIF Chair has been busy compiling the necessary documentation to submit our bid at this year’s NSHMBA National Conference in San Antonio. We have formed a Steering Committee that is putting the framework together for our successful launch
in 2002!!

**Graduate Management Advisory Council
Our Chapter will sponsor a NSHMBA booth with membership documents and a banner for GMAC (Graduate Management Advisory Council) in San Francisco on October 24th.For more information contact Javier Illueca, VP of Education, at ns*******@on****.com.

**Leadership Workshops
Our Chapter will organize two Leadership workshops with Donna Blancero to be held in the Bay Area in November 2001. One will be held at UC Berkeley and the other at Stanford, with each session targeting attendance from selected schools in the area. **Professional Technical Diversity Network
Our Chapter will restart NSHMBA participation at the PTDN (Professional Technical Diversity Network) Board. Next event will be in October at SJ Tech Museum. For more information contact Mauricio Alvarado, EVP, at ns*******@on****.com.

**Monthly Social Events
Our Chapter will start “Monthly Social Events” on the first Thursday of the month at a local bar/restaurant alternating between the South Bay/peninsula and San Francisco. For more information contact Nancy Urdaneta, VP of Marketing, at ns*******@on****.com.
