“Nuestra Belleza Latina” gears up for Season 11 premiere this Sunday, September 23rd

Univision’s reality competition “Nuestra Belleza Latina” (NBL) is back with a new look and attitude for a new season. The competition begins on Sunday, September 23, at 8 p.m. ET/PT (7 p.m. CT), from the Cromwell Hotel in Las Vegas, NV. Colombian sensation Sebastián Yatra will sing, and NBL VIP winner and “El Gordo y la Flaca” co-host Clarissa Molina will show off her dance moves to help contestants and audience members get in the groove.

Sunday’s show will begin with a look back at the auditions, where more than 1,200 women competed for a place among the top 50 who will be featured on premiere night.  From those, a panel of judges made up of plus-size model and activist Denise Bidot, Mexican regional star El Dasa and Univision personality Jomari Goyso and led by Univision star and former NBL host Giselle Blondet will choose 30 talented contestants. The selected group will head to Miami and compete for the NBL title throughout the season. The winner will have an opportunity to become Univision’s newest communicator and on-camera personality.

The contestants are ready to go. They know that this will be the most important yet entertaining job interview of their lives. Under the tagline “without sizes, without limits and with no excuses” (sin tallas, sin límites, sin excusas), this year’s competition has been modified to look beyond conventional notions of beauty and pageantry, and emphasize talent, personality and charisma.

The season’s host will be Alejandra Espinoza, herself an NBL veteran who won the title in 2007 and launched her career at Univision as one of Spanish-language television’s most admired and beloved personalities. She will be joined by “El Gordo y la Flaca’s” Roberto Hernández, who will have the latest from backstage.
