One thing I keep seeing across organizations right now:
Growth decisions are getting more conservative but not more effective.
Under pressure, teams default to what feels safe:
- familiar channels
- familiar partners
- familiar planning models
It’s understandable. But “safe” has quietly become a substitute for strategic.
The harder question most teams aren’t asking is this:
- Are we investing based on how growth actually happens today or based on what’s easiest to explain internally?
Real growth doesn’t come from doing more of what worked before. It comes from rethinking how growth is defined, prioritized, and funded in the first place.
That’s not a messaging problem.
It’s a decision problem.
