Only One Will Win: Univision’s Sabado Gigante Nationwide Talent Search.

Univision Network’s top rated variety show, “Sabado Gigante” (“Gigantic Saturday”) held talent searches in Dallas, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, and Puerto Rico to discover youth between the ages of 18-25 talented enough to compete in the highly anticipated segment “Gigantes del Manana” (“FutureStars”). Twenty-four contestants made the cut to face celebrity judges in their quest to take home the $15K grand prize and a coveted recording contract with Univision Music Group. Premiering Saturday, October 25 within “Sabado Gigante’s” time slot, 8-11pm ET/PT, the segment will feature the show’s legendary creator and host, Don Francisco.

In the first three months of competition, judges Marco Flavio Cruz, Karen Guindi, and Flor Ivon Quezada will select six contestants who will advance to the most exciting, sensational phase of the contest: the fourth and final month of competition, when they battle for the “FutureStar” title. In addition, Hispanic America will have a chance to “save” contestants from among those who were eliminated by the judges. By logging onto www.univision.com, each month visitors can vote for “El Gigante de la Gente” (“People’s Choice FutureStar”), “comeback” contestants who get to compete again after garnering the greatest amount of online votes.

On February 21, 2004, millions of viewers will watch as the most talented Hispanic youth in the United States is named “Gigante del Manana.” “Sabado Gigante,” an undisputed ratings phenomenon with over 100 million loyal viewers in 42 countries, airs every Saturday, 8-11pm ET/PT (7-10pm Central/Mountain).
