PACCAR Parts named Draftfcb Multicultural Practice their Multicultural AOR.

Draftfcb Chicago announced that it has been named Multicultural Agency of Record for PACCAR Parts, a Division of PACCAR, Inc., a client since 1992. Formerly working with PACCAR Parts on a project basis for multicultural work—handling creative and translation—Draftfcb was officially awarded AOR status to further develop the client’s cross-channel strategy.

In addition to welcoming new clients, the agency is fortifying its multicultural staff to meet the growing needs of the agency’s clients.
Ken Muench, currently Draftfcb Chicago’s director of Multicultural strategic planning, will transfer to Draftfcb Orange County in mid-August where he will assume the role of SVP, director of strategic planning, leading the planning efforts for all of that office’s clients. Working from Orange County, he will remain a key member of the planning department in Chicago, also overseeing strategy for all of the agency’s Multicultural business.

Muench joined Draftfcb Chicago in December 2009 where he has helped create the next evolution in Millennial and Multicultural marketing. He has championed Draftfcb’s unique, Crosscultural model internally, with clients and the press, showcasing the agency as a leader in the space. As a result, he has helped Draftfcb move into the top 15 agencies for Hispanic efforts.

Felipe Cabrera will join Draftfcb Chicago on July 18 as a Multicultural planning director, working closely with Muench. Cabrera, formerly with Grupo Gallegos, has worked for clients including Target, Scotts, Valvoline, Energizer and California Milk Processor Board. Previously, he was a North American brand manager for EA SPORTS Active, spent four years as the U.S. Hispanic and Puerto Rico assistant brand manager for Procter & Gamble’s Multicultural business, and two years as a strategic planner for JWT after starting his career at Leo Burnett, both in Puerto Rico.

Luis Salles also recently joined Draftfcb Chicago as a Multicultural planning director on the agency’s MillerCoors brands. Salles was previously a planning director at the New York office of Euro RSCG, and before that, Grey. He also spent four years at multicultural agency Zubi, having begun his career with two years in research at Synovate.  Among the brands he’s serviced are Pernod-Ricard (Kahlua, Malibu), Ford, Lincoln-Mercury, Jaguar, Pringles, Canon, Olive Garden and American Airlines.
