Pantelion Films CEO / Televisa USA Managing Director Paul Presburger to be Afternoon Keynoter At 11th Annual Hispanic Television Summit

Paul Presburger, the CEO of Pantelion Films, a joint venture of Lionsgate and Grupo Televisa, and Managing Director of Televisa USA, the U.S. television studio arm of Mexican media giant Grupo Televisa, will be the afternoon keynote interview guest at the 11th Annual Hispanic Television Summit, presented by leading television industry publications Broadcasting & Cable and Multichannel News at the New York Marriott Marquis Hotel on Wednesday, October 2, 2013.

Presburger will discuss the increasing power of Latino discretionary income and its growing impact on the profitability of entertainment targeted to this audience. He will also address the trend in the cross-over popularity of traditionally Latino content with a broader general market audience. An example of this cross-over is evidenced by the recent release by Pantelion Films of the box office hit, bilingual comedy film entitled “Instructions Not Included.”

Presburger is one of four keynote interview guests to be featured at this year’s Hispanic Television Summit. Other keynoters include Joe Uva, Chairman of NBCUniversal Hispanic Enterprises and Content; Lia Silkworth, EVP, Managing Director for Tapestry, Starcom MediaVest Group; and Marla Skiko, EVP and Director of Digital Innovation for SMG’s Multicultural Division.

“The growth of Hispanic buying power in the area of television and entertainment is exploding and having an exciting impact on the overall Hispanic television and video business,” said Louis Hillelson, VP/Group Publisher of the two presenting publications. “This explosive growth is the theme of our Summit. Paul Presburger is one of the leaders in the business, and his participation will be a great value to our Summit attendees.”

The Hispanic Television Summit is the signature event for those in the business of television intended for Hispanic viewers. It attracts over 500 registrants from the U.S. and Latin America, who are leading executives in pay TV and broadcast, as well as advertisers, agencies, researchers, technology suppliers and financial investors.
