PEOPLE en Español names the 50 Most Beautiful Hispanic Celebrities.

It’s the 12th annual 50 Most Beautiful special issue of PEOPLE en Español featuring eight of today’s most popular Hispanic celebrities on the cover. Grammy winner Christina Aguilera is joined by actress Sofía Vergara (Meet the Brown’s) and former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres on the cover, along with Myrka Dellanos, Angélica Rivera, Marlene Favela, Danna García and singer Ivy Queen. With designer Hollywood-glam gowns by Marchesa, Angel Sanchez and Randi Rahm, and a color scheme of violet, red, pink, and fucsia, the cover stars also show off more than $4 million of Damiani diamonds. The “50 Mas Bellos” issue, on-sale nationwide on April 28, highlights the 50 most beautiful Hispanics in the world of music, television, movies, and sports.

“Being a new mother has made me the happiest I have ever been,” Christina Aguilera tells the magazine at the cover shoot, about her newborn son Max Lirón. With her dad from Ecuador and her mother a former Spanish translator, Christina wants to instill some of the Hispanic culture she grew up with to her son. “I love the Latino culture. It’s fire and passion, and I definitely want my son to be a part of that-after all, he is half Latino too.” She’s already started singing lullabies in Spanish to Max-the same lullabies she learned as a child.

Mexican singer/actress Thalía (wife of Tommy Mottola) returns to the 50 Most Beautiful list for a record breaking seventh time. Thalía opens up about her plans to design a baby clothing line and publish another book, Thalía radiante (Radiant Thalía), with health and beauty tips for expecting moms. “It’s a beautiful new chapter in my life. The feeling is so fascinating when you become a mother for the first time,” says the singer, who recently gave birth to Sabrina Sakae. Another beautiful mom on this year’s list is Academy Award nominated actress and producer of ABC’s Ugly Betty, Salma Hayek. “I am smiling much more than before,” admits Hayek, about her new daughter, Valentina Paloma. “[Valentina] has changed me so much.”

Included in this year’s list is former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres who posed with her sister Jeannette Torres-Álvarez. The two women co-wrote, Married to Me: How Committing to Myself Led to Triumph After Divorce. In the book, Torres uses her experience as a divorcee (from singer Marc Anthony) to help share advice to other women about redefining life after a divorce. Her sister shares her knowledge as a psychologist.

Oscar-winning actor Javier Bardem is also named one of the Most Beautiful, and talks about his experience filming the Award-winning No Country for Old Men. “I was doing a movie in a language that is not mine,” he says. “I was in a place in didn’t know, playing a character that didn’t belong anywhere,” he adds, about the hard work that went into his Oscar winning performance.

Some of this year’s newcomers on the Most Beautiful list include, Fox’s Prison Break actress Danay García, and Dallas Cowboys’ football star Tony Romo (and Jessica Simpson’s boyfriend). There are 29 women and 21 men and in an interesting twist, this year’s special includes children of the stars. Among them, top Hispanic journalist Myrka Dellanos poses with her daughter Alexa Loynaz-Dellanos and actress Sofía Vergara alongside her son Manolo González.

This year, PEOPLE en Español’s 50 Most Beautiful issue comes to life in a TV special on “Extra’s Weekend Edition,” airing the weekend of May 3-4 (check local listings for airdates/times or log onto www.extratv.com). The special will be co-hosted by Tanika Ray and one of the magazine’s 2007 beauties, Mario López and will feature a behind-the-scenes look of this year’s making of the issue and cover shoot including Christina Aguilera, ABC’s Dancing with the Stars Cristián de la Fuente and Fox’s Prison Break actor Amaury Nolasco, among others.
