People en Español’s ‘50 Most Beautiful Issue’.

Jennifer Lopez lands on the cover of People en Español’s annual “50 Most Beautiful” issue, hitting newsstands nationwide on May 1. With exclusive interviews and photography, the “50 Most Beautiful” celebrates today’s most-talked about Hispanic celebrities including actress/singer Jennifer Lopez, Desperate Housewives’ Eva Longoria, singer Ricky Martin, Lost’s Michelle Rodriguez, Colombian singer Shakira, and My Name is Earl’s Nadine Velazquez, among others.

This year, the magazine selected one of the most important Hispanic women in entertainment–mega star Jennifer Lopez. The Latin beauty, who posed for the cover shoot at a Hollywood studio, opens-up exclusively to People en Español’s and talks for the first time about her marriage to singer Marc Anthony, their plans to have children, and her two upcoming films.

“I think a lot of people just don’t understand what I’m about,” says Jennifer about her passion for the entertainment business. “They see me laughing, having a good time and they may think ‘Oh, she’s so ambitious and everything’ but the thing is that I’m just a creative person. If I could describe myself to somebody that’s how I would do it: I’d say ‘I’m creative and that’s what drives me.’”

For the first time since their quiet wedding, Lopez opens up about her marriage to husband Marc Anthony. “The thing with me and Marc from years ago—everybody will always see it—whenever the two of us got in a room together, neither one of us could stop laughing, ” she says. Lopez adds that although her husband comes across as a very serious person, he is one of the funniest people she’s ever meet.

When faced with the one question everyone keeps asking– When is the baby coming?– she says wistfully, “Yeah, that would be nice. That would be nice for sure. I feel that will happen naturally when it does.”

Michelle Rodriguez, who stars in the hit TV show Lost, also lands in the “50 Most Beautiful” issue and confesses she regrets not having good judgment when it is necessary. But, she adds, “If you take into account half the famous people [and what they do], in comparison, I am a very good girl.”

Jessica Alba, who first hit it big in playing the role of Max Guevara in the television series Dark Angel is also in the issue, and says she is frustrated by the stereotypes of women in Hollywood. That’s why the actress’ long-term goal is to start her own production company. “It’s a world run by men and it would be good to see more women with a say in telling their stories,” she adds.
