Pepsi Launches ‘Dole Aguas Frescas’ In Chicago Latino Neighborhoods.

Pepsi-Cola North America announced that Dole single-serve juices, its fast-growing line of juice beverages, will be test-marketing Dole Aguas Frescas in Latino neighborhoods in Chicago. Dole Aguas Frescas is a new, non-carbonated juice drink that’s been developed specifically for Latino consumers thirsting for a beverage they can call their own. The new, ready-to-drink beverage – modeled after juice drinks that have traditionally been prepared in Latino homes – will be available in four, great-tasting natural fruit flavors (Guava, Mango, Strawberry and Tamarind).

In extensive focus groups conducted over the past year – as Dole Aguas Frescas was being developed – study participants consistently described its taste as “an authentic, home-style beverage experience” and “a product that rivals homemade aguas frescas beverages that have been popular among Latino households for generations.”

Dole Aguas Frescas will be distributed in 16-ounce glass bottles and primarily sold in grocery and convenience stores in the Chicago area. Introductory marketing support includes outdoor advertising, in-store merchandising and targeted sampling efforts.
