PR Veteran ROBERT ALANIZ honored with 2025 Juntos award for Community Service

Robert Alaniz, CEO and Chief Media Strategist at Milagros Media Strategies, received the esteemed JUNTOS Award for community service from Northgate González Market, a leading Hispanic-owned grocery chain in Southern California. Alaniz was one of twelve honorees recognized during a private ceremony at the company’s corporate headquarters.

Known for his strategic communication expertise and crisis management, Alaniz has been a valuable partner to Northgate González Market for years. His work has played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s public image and strengthening its connection with the communities it serves.

“Robert embodies the spirit of the JUNTOS Awards,” said Oscar Gonzalez, Co-CEO of Northgate González Market. “His commitment to uplifting Latino communities is inspiring. He is a true champion for our people and has been instrumental in sharing the Northgate story.”

As part of the JUNTOS Awards, Northgate Market donated $24,000 in grants to local nonprofits selected by the honorees. Alaniz chose Fix’n Fidos, a nonprofit founded by KTLA-TV Weather Forecaster Kacey Montoya, which provides veterinary care to families facing financial hardship.

“I am honored to receive this award and to support the mission of Fix’n Fidos,” said Alaniz. “Their work is vital for ensuring all pets have access to quality healthcare, regardless of their owners’ financial situation.”

Alaniz’s influence extends beyond his professional achievements. He is a founding member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) and was recently inducted into its Hall of Fame. He previously served as president of the California Association of Latinos in Broadcasting and is currently on the advisory boards of the Hispanic Scholarship Fund and Hispanics in Energy. He also serves on the boards of the Latino Food Industry Association and the Los Angeles Latino Chamber of Commerce.
