Premier League Returns to Telemundo deportes and celebrate Andres Cantor’s 20th anniversary with the company

The Return Of Premier League to Telemundo Deportes is Highlighted by a Special Celebration Of Andres Cantor’s 20th Anniversary With The Company Featuring Special Segments, Celebratory Messages And Clips That Highlight Memorable Moments of His Career  

Premier League’s 2019-20 season resumes this Wednesday, June 17 with exclusive, Spanish-language coverage across Telemundo, Universo and Telemundo Deportes’ digital platforms. Coverage kicks off with a doubleheader featuring second-place Manchester City hosting Arsenal at 3 p.m. ET on Universo as Guardiola’s team seek a win to keep the title race against Liverpool alive. The match will be preceded by Aston Villa vs. Sheffield United at 1 p.m. ET on the Telemundo Deportes app.

Following Wednesday’s kick off, Telemundo Deportes will present 18 matches through July 2 with the first full round weekend beginning Friday, June 19 at 3:15 p.m. ET when Tottenham host Manchester United live on Universo. On Saturday, Brighton Hove Albion faces Arsenal live on Universo at 10 a.m. ET followed by Telemundo’s first broadcast West Ham vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers at 12:30 p.m. ET featuring Mexican Wolves’ star Raul Jimenez.

As part of Telemundo Deportes’ PL kick off coverage, the sports division also celebrates Andres Cantor’s 20th anniversary with the company. His iconic voice and legendary GOOOOAL! call return to the screen as he celebrates another milestone in his career. As part of the celebration, Telemundo Deportes’ weekend programming will incorporate special segments, celebratory messages and clips that highlight memorable moments of the commentator throughout the past two decades. The celebration will also be highlighted across Telemundo Network’s daytime programming the week of June 22 with special participation of Andres in the shows.
