Premio Lo Nuestro announces roster of Advertisers.

The Univision Network announced its roster of new and returning sponsors for the 25th annual edition of “Premio Lo Nuestro” Latin Music Awards presented by T-Mobile USA. Other sponsors, including American Honda, Chevrolet, L’Oréal Paris, McDonald’s and Old Navy, will be prominently featured throughout the broadcast alongside Hispanic America’s beloved recording artists and entertainers.

“After a quarter century in existence, ‘Premio Lo Nuestro’ still remains Hispanic America’s favorite awards show featuring a glamorous lineup of stars and moving performances,” said Keith Turner, president of Advertising and Marketing, Univision Communications Inc. “‘Premio Lo Nuestro’ continues to be a high-impact opportunity for brands to reach millions of deeply engaged consumers.”

T-Mobile USA is on board as the first-ever presenting sponsor of “Premio Lo Nuestro,” activating the inaugural magenta carpet located in the carpet’s step and repeat section as well as the Fashion Post, the 360-degree fashion view of celebrities as they enter the awards show. Additionally, T-Mobile will present the Social Media Wall bringing viewers backstage to El Lounge T-Mobile for a behind-the-scenes look at what’s trending and who’s tweeting, with former Miss Universe Amelia Vega reporting on the award show’s buzz. In celebration of its first year as presenting sponsor of “Premio Lo Nuestro,” T-Mobile kicks off a relationship with this year’s twice-nominated singing group, 3Ball MTY, who will be on-site during the event using T-Mobile devices and connecting with fans all over the country via social media channels.

“As a multi-year sponsor of this important industry event, T-Mobile is looking forward to celebrating Latinos’ passion for music and entertainment,” said Peter DeLuca, T-Mobile senior vice president of Brand and Advertising. “‘Premio Lo Nuestro’ provides an amazing platform for us to connect with our existing and new customers at the show in Miami and within the loyal Hispanic viewing audience.”

Live from the AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami, the 2013 edition of “Premio Lo Nuestro” will air on the Univision Network on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, from 8 to 11 p.m. ET/PT (7 p.m. Central). The broadcast will be preceded by the red carpet arrivals pre-show “Noche de Estrellas” (Night of Stars) at 7 p.m. ET/PT (6 p.m. Central).

“Premio Lo Nuestro” is television’s longest-running and top-rated Latin music awards show, delivering impressive audience levels reaching 10 million viewers for its 2012 edition. Last year’s spectacular broadcast made Univision the No. 2 network for the night, regardless of language, among Adults 18-34.

Recognizing excellence in five musical genres – pop, tropical, regional Mexican, rock/alternative and urban– the “Premio Lo Nuestro” awards are bestowed each year in acknowledgement of the artists who receive the most radio airplay during the eligibility period. All winners are determined by fans through votes cast on PremioLoNuestro.com. This year, winners will be chosen from a total of 130 nominations in 33 different categories. Since its initial telecast, “Premio Lo Nuestro” has helped launch the careers of many Latin music superstars such as Selena, Enrique Iglesias, Shakira, and Ricky Martin, among others, and has become widely known for the high caliber of the talent appearing on its stage year after year.
