Premios Fox Sports Is Not All Sports.

Grammy nominee Alexandre Pires, Roselyn Sánchez and Patricia Manterola will star as the performers for Premios Fox Sports, the newly created annual awards show, that honors the achievements of U.S. Hispanic and Latin American athletes in a variety of sports.

Premios Fox Sports is being presented at the New Radisson Hotel in Miami on December 17. The show will be televised on Sunday, December 21 at 10:00 p.m. EST / 7:00 p.m. PST, and reach more than 17 million households across the Americas. Fox Sports en Español is televising the awards show nationally in the United States, and while Fox Sports Latin America will air it throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.

Featured performer, Brazilian super star Alexandre Pires, who received Latin Grammy nominations this year for Album of the Year and Best Male Pop Vocal Album has become one of the leading male vocalists in the U.S. Hispanic market and Latin America. Alexandre Pires will be the guest star performing two of his most recent hits “En El Silencio Negro de la Noche” and “Quitemonos La Ropa” from his most recent album “Estrella Guia”.

Roselyn Sánchez is among the first presenters announced for Premios Fox Sports. Roselyn is a rising, multitalented performer who became the first Latina character for the CBS soap “As the World Turns” in its 40-year history. Roselyn’s film credits include Chasing Papi, Rush Hour2 and Basic. Roselyn will also perform her recent hit song “Amor Amor” from her first album “Boriqueña” released in the Latin market on September 2003.

Patricia Manterola, former singer from the renowned Mexican performing group Garibaldi, will perform “Quedate Conmigo” from the album “Dejame Volar”. She will also present one of the awards that night. Manterola received a platinum album last year from her record label BMG for her worldwide release “Que El Ritmo No Pare” that sold more than 400,000 copies.

Reigning Susie Castillo, Miss USA, who became the third ever Latina to become Miss USA in the organization’s 52-year history will also present one of the categories. A professional model since the age of 15, Castillo has graced the pages of many Teen Magazines and has appeared in many ad campaigns.
